I have several long term illnesses, and am passionate about patient-centred medicine, and sharing decision-making with the doctor. I also subscribe to the belief that enabling us to manage their own illnesses is an important role of all health care professionals. But in order to be able to do this, we. and our friends and families need accurate information and the support of our medical carers.
