This course provides the broad based-knowledge of Equality & Diversity needed by new and existing Patient and Public Voice Partners who are sitting on NHS England boards and advisory groups The Patient and Public Voice (PPV) Partner Policy, August 2017 states that all new partners and volunteers working at level 4 should undertake mandatory training of up to 3 courses as identified in their recruitment pack.

Existing partners should ensure they have completed these modules
If learners already have a good understanding of Equality & Diversity they can take the Equality & Diversity Pre-Assessment which is available as a separate course. By scoring more than 70% this suggests they are at a good level. If so, there will be no need for learners to work through the whole course. Learners may however still find it useful to complete the package in order to update their knowledge.
